Microsoft has released the Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 version recently, which is an enhanced version of IE 8. Many new features have been added in this version. The main feature that has been added is the ‘restore’ facility which helps you to get back the different tabs, that was closed due to some problems. This is already available in Mozilla’s Firefox. The private menu in this version helps you in hiding the history of websites visited. Also added is the SmartScreen facility which enhances the security. It analyses the URL and tells you, if it comes across any unsecured sites. A dedicated database of unsecured sites has been maintained to serve this purpose. The domains names typed will be highlighted to find if it is typed wrongly. The websites developed to be used using IE 7 cannot be viewed using IE 8. This enhanced version allows viewing the IE 7 based websites as well.
