After teasing us all for the weekend long, Samsung has finally decided to announce its next 8.0 megapixel handset, the Pixon. The phone boasts a 3.2 inch touchscreen, 13.8 millimetre design and an in-built camera with Auto Focus, face detection and geotagging. It has quad-band GSM/EDGE radios, as well as HSDPA 7.2 Mbps at 2100MHz, Bluetooth 2.0 and an FM radio with RDS. It has a TV-out jack and supports microSD cards.

Samsung said that the currently unpriced mobile will start shipping in around two weeks for those in France, while most other European/Asian countries will see it ‘shortly’. US market will have to wait for now. The Pixon will be available in select markets starting in October.
